MIELE S4 -The essence of Miele floorcare
Miele's new range of S4 vacuum cleaners sets new benchmarks among compact vacuum cleaners and represents, in essence, what Miele floor care is all about.
Ideal for modern apartment living, the S4 series of Miele vacuum cleaners are compact and elegant, yet powerful and most practical resulting in exceptional cleaning performance.
The S4's elegant, aesthetic design speaks for itself. The aluminium appearance of the operating controls contrast with new exciting colours and finishes, which is unmatched in this market segment.
While each Miele S4 vacuum cleaner weighs just 6.5 kg including all accessories (the barrel itself only weighs 4.7 kg), the S4 has all the power of a 1,800 Watt motor, designed and produced by Miele. .
The new improved floorhead makes adjustments to the bristles even easier while a new thread catcher contributes to even better dust pick up. The interplay of the proficiency of the motor combined with the floorhead and multiple stage filtration system results in cleaning excellence.

Its melon yellow colour brings a breath of fresh air to vacuum cleaning. With 1800 Watt maximum output, Miele's Super AirClean filtration system, 3.5 l IntensiveClean dustbag capacity, excellent manoeuvrability and above all, Miele's renowned quality, this model represents a very affordable entry into the world of Miele compact floor care.
Miele S4510:
A step up, not just in terms of looks with its tealite blue metallic lacquer finish, the +/- button controls on the S4510 allow the barrel to be operated by foot without bending down, making it ideal for customers with back problems. Also, the special swivel connection on its new DeLuxe comfort handle reduces strain on the wrist when steering the vacuum cleaner. While Miele's three piece XXL wand extends up to 115cm, enabling it to reach further into corners, it also can be shortened to 55cm to allow very easy storage.
Miele S4780:
This top of the range model offers two unique features. A SoftTouch lacquer in Indian red adds a sensual dimension to the visual appeal of this vacuum cleaner. Although very hardwearing, Miele's SoftTouch lacquer feels like velvet and has an elegant sumptuous reflection.
On the technical side, the second unique feature of this high-end model is its very convenient method of power adjustment - a radio-frequency operated remote control which allows the user to start the motor and adjust power levels using the handle. This remote represents the most back friendly solution for frail or physically challenged users.
Miele's optional ActiveHEPA filter (supplied as standard on S4780) can be installed in all S4 models and achieves hospital grade filtration levels. In addition to the micro-fibre fleece, the filter also features a layer of active charcoal to filter out any odours form the exhaust air. A rubber seal on the filter cassette and barrel nullify any attempt of air escaping other than through the filter, making these vacuum cleaners suitable for allergy sufferers.
The new range of Miele S4 vacuum cleaners is available through selected vacuum cleaner retail stores nationally from March with recommended retail prices of $399.00, $499.00 and $599.00 respectively.
