Samsung Helix XM Satellite Radio CES 2006 is just getting rolling here in Las Vegas, but Samsung is wasting no time. The electronics maker on Wednesday unveiled a lineup of three portable music players that can receive XM Satellite Radio. Users can tune into 160 XM stations while on the go, or listen to MP3 and WMA audio files.
Weighing 4.5 ounces and measuring just 3.7 inches high, the Samsung Helix stores 50 hours of radio programming and connects with Napster to purchase songs heard over XM. Two smaller players, the Samsung NEXUS 25 and NEXUS 50 can receive XM programming while docked in a car or at home. The color Samsung Helix will retail for $400 USD, while the NEXUS 25 and 50 will run $200 and $250, respectively. All three players will be available in the first quarter.

Online Activation Process
First, please make sure your XM equipment is working properly by tuning to the XM Preview channel (#1). If you can hear XM Preview, your equipment is ready.
If your antenna was professionally installed inside the car, you will have mutes and other reception problems. Please return to your installer and have them place the Samsung Helix antenna on the outside of the car. You should not be charged for this service.
Next, make sure you have a credit card and your Samsung Helix XM Radio Hardware ID handy. (You can display your ID by tuning your XM Radio to channel 0, one down from XM Preview.)
